We have felt honored to work on this project with the State of California, Department of Veterans Affairs. The purpose of this 60 second commercial and 30 second radio ad is to let our vets know benefits and services are available to them if they have served in peace time and/or at war. Some of the common issues our vets are dealing with are: Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Agent Orange issues and Hearing Loss. There is medical, mental and financial help. Please contact your local VA if you have served. The Veterans Affairs moto is "Veterans Come First."  Thank you for your sacrifice and service.

Sensored Hangover!

It has taken us several days to re-coupe from the festivities of last week. It was amazing how many friends, family and film-goers came out to support Sensored. It is estimated that 650-700 attended! We hope you enjoyed walking the red carpet, you were entertained by the film and you had a few Wade Mixon mixers at the Cosmo Cafe afterward.  Here is a photo of the man and the drink!

We also want to thank our friends at Apisphere  for the amazing text marketing campaign. We know several hundred of you downloaded the trailer from your smartphone and gave us a very high rating on the film.

New Press Release!

Sacramento, CA, July 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- KeJo Productions, LLC today announced the feature film, “Sensored,” starring Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager, Stargate: Atlantis), will have a star-studded screening at the 10th Annual Sacramento Film and Music Festival on Friday, July 24th, 8:00PM at the Crest Theatre.

“Sensored” is a dramatic thriller, which captures the steady unraveling of a children’s book author’s twisted, lurid psyche. The film was shot entirely in Placer County and the City of Sacramento. “We could not have accomplished so much, without the strong community support from our hometown and the surrounding areas,” said Jo Haskin, Producer of Sensored.

“Every year we look for the best independent films from around the world as well as the most cutting-edge productions from our own community,” said Nathan Schemel, Festival Founder and Co-Director. “Finding a film like “Sensored” which is both of those things is an obvious fit for the Festival and natural pick to open our tenth season!” This gala opening night celebration begins with a 6:30 PM reception, catered by Rubio’s, followed by the film screening and an after-party at Cosmo CafĂ© with cast and crew.

The majority of the cast, including star, Robert Picardo, is expected to attend. More festival information is available now and tickets can be purchased online or at the Crest Theatre box office.

About Sensored
Director: Ryan Todd
Producers: Jo Haskin, Eric Mansur, Kevin Haskin
Writer: Kevin Haskin
Starring: Robert Picardo, Brian Rife, Sarah Knowlton, Michelle Page, Chase Anthony Hodge, David Fine, and Mary Mackey.

Wade (Robert Picardo), a children’s’ book author, struggles with his perception of reality while trying to keep his frayed mind from unraveling. His stability and lucidity are in question as his thoughts are increasingly pummeled by the terror of his murderous fixations. The line between reality and delusion grows steadily uncertain as his fight between good and evil begins to dilute any chance he has at living in the present. In the balance hangs Wade's only shred of existence, his legacy, and he will stop at nothing to merge it with reality.

The Proposal

Went and saw The Proposal last night staring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. It knocked off The Hangover from its #1 position at the box office this week. The Proposal is Sandra Bullock's biggest opening in her career. This also is going to bring Ryan Reynolds into the world of romantic comedies.   The comedy chemistry between Bullock and Reynolds is entertaining and the talented and very funny supporting cast includes Betty White, Craig T. Nelson and Mary Steenbergen as Reynolds family.  This film will inspire you to travel to Alaska where the majority of the film takes place. You will also wish you had a "Gammy" just like Grandma Annie played by White. Don't jump out of your seat after the film ends, as the end credits include interviews from the different characters.

Next Project: State of California, Dept. of Veterans Affairs

It is official! We are in pre-production for a commercial and radio ad for the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are really exciting about this project as we hope to help get some important information out to our veterans through this campaign. We hope veterans and their families will learn about benefits that are available to them due to their service.  Hearing Aids, college tuition, spouse support and mental health services are some of the benefits that will be explained. Look for the commercial around Veterans Day in November in Los Angeles, San Diego and Sacramento. We'll announce the celebrity talent soon.

Training Wheels still rolls on...

We received an email from the Coyote Film Festival in Cobb, California a few weeks ago inquiring about our first short film, Training Wheels. It looks like they want to include it in their program sometime between March and November. The Coyote Film Festival is a fundraising arm to bring public art to Lake County. We are happy and proud to be part of this non-profit organization's quest to bring art to families.  What would we be without art? They have already taken it out of most of our schools, so programs like these are so important. Way to go Karen Turcotte! Keep up the good work!
Also, another public thank you to the talented cast and crew that was a part of this project.
