Sacramento, CA, July 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- KeJo Productions, LLC today announced the feature film, “Sensored,” starring Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager, Stargate: Atlantis), will have a star-studded screening at the 10th Annual Sacramento Film and Music Festival on Friday, July 24th, 8:00PM at the Crest Theatre.
“Sensored” is a dramatic thriller, which captures the steady unraveling of a children’s book author’s twisted, lurid psyche. The film was shot entirely in Placer County and the City of Sacramento. “We could not have accomplished so much, without the strong community support from our hometown and the surrounding areas,” said Jo Haskin, Producer of Sensored.
“Every year we look for the best independent films from around the world as well as the most cutting-edge productions from our own community,” said Nathan Schemel, Festival Founder and Co-Director. “Finding a film like “Sensored” which is both of those things is an obvious fit for the Festival and natural pick to open our tenth season!” This gala opening night celebration begins with a 6:30 PM reception, catered by Rubio’s, followed by the film screening and an after-party at Cosmo Café with cast and crew.
The majority of the cast, including star, Robert Picardo, is expected to attend. More festival information is available now and tickets can be purchased online or at the Crest Theatre box office.

Wade (Robert Picardo), a children’s’ book author, struggles with his perception of reality while trying to keep his frayed mind from unraveling. His stability and lucidity are in question as his thoughts are increasingly pummeled by the terror of his murderous fixations. The line between reality and delusion grows steadily uncertain as his fight between good and evil begins to dilute any chance he has at living in the present. In the balance hangs Wade's only shred of existence, his legacy, and he will stop at nothing to merge it with reality.
